Core step tracking, the Apple Watch app, and all complications are free and will always stay free. There's an optional tip jar if you want to support development. Advanced features are planned for a future update, but there are no paywalls and no subscription.
In Settings, you set two separate goals — one for Monday through Friday and one for Saturday and Sunday. Cadence automatically applies the right goal each day. Your history reflects the goal that was active on each individual day, and past records are never rewritten when you change your goal. You can also apply any goal change retroactively across your full history with a single tap in Settings.
Yes. Cadence includes a full native Watch app with three pages: today's steps and progress, a week bar chart, and your goal settings. Eight complications are available for any watch face. Goals sync instantly between iPhone and Watch in both directions.
Yes. Your full history and settings sync privately through your iCloud account. Install Cadence on a new device signed into the same iCloud account and your data restores automatically — no export, no manual backup needed.
